Production Blog: Editing

Hello everyone! Welcome back to my blog! Today I am going to be speaking on my journey using the adobe premier pro software to edit my commercial. Starting my journey in the wide realm of Adobe Premier Pro was like setting foot in a whole new world. Filled with endless creative possibilities that I never would have even thought of if not for it. With a mountain of clips and photos ready, I began organizing everything using Premiere Pros system, to ensure everything was ready for when I started editing. Creating a storyline was my next step. This allowed me to visualize the narrative I intended to tell, emphasizing the main points and glossing over filler/unimportant details. It also aided in me finally choosing my photos and clips. I made sure to ensure each chosen item carried significant weight in my life. As I dove into the editing process itself, tools like the razor and slip became invaluable throughout the process, as they helped me adjust the clips without altering their durations. The challenge that soon occurred wasn't an editing issue, it was ensuring all the clips flowed perfectly, having the friends and family pictures with each other, hobbies with each other, and so on. I used the Premiere Pro transition library to help transition between each item. For the photos, to ensure they weren't "boring" I edit their brightness, contrast, and saturation. Sound was the hardest part of my commercial. Between choosing what song i wanted, to figuring out how to download it, and then to link up the song to all my photos and clips, it was the most boring and time grueling part of the entire commercial. After watching some tutorials and help videos, I learned Premiere Pro has tools that help synchronize the music beats with key transitions and impactful moments, which was a life saver. Once I felt satisfied with every element of the commercial, it became time to render and watch it. Upon playback, every second I didnt enjoy reminded me of the hours I spent on it, and I inevitably began to fall in love. In the end, what was left wasn't just a commercial, it was proof of all the hard work I put in. But not just into the commercial, all the hard work I've put into life as a whole was presented back to me. Thank you for tuning into my blog! I hope you return tomorrow for the process of fixing some criticism I had.
