Production Blog: Planning & Photo Taking
Hello everyone, welcome back to my blog! Today's blog is going to be on the process of me choosing my photos and making my videos, as well as learning how to use the editing software. To start, I thought of some things that I like doing that I would like to include in my commercial. This included, going to the gym, cooking, playing soccer, video games, and photography. In addition, I wanted to include some family members and friends who have been with me throughout my life. To start, I went through my photos. Every album, flash-drive, and storage disk I have, I went through. As going through these, I chose every photo that I would potentially use on my commercial. This included a photo of me and my two closest friends, Renato and Leo, on a soccer field during the rain, me and my family at my older sister's wedding, and a photo I took of a sunset. There were more, but these were the main ones that are significant to me. But, because of the way I wish to format my commercial, these wouldn't have been enough photos, so I went out and took some. First, because I enjoy photography, and wanted include that about me, I went out and took photos including gym pictures, sunset photos, and just random photos in general, I additionally messed around with photoshop and Lightroom so I became more knowledgeable of the adobe software, since that is what I was editing my commercial on. After choosing all the photos, I ventured out to capture new videos for my commercial, this included some of my passions like, gym workouts, soccer games, and cooking. Once I gathered a substantial amount of images and clips, it became time to edit. Using Adobe's software, I embarked on a learning journey, watching videos, experimenting with transitions, effects, and color grading. I additionally edit some of the photos I took that I'm planning to put under the photography section of my commercial. All of this allowed me to become familiar with the adobe software, which will inevitably help me later in the project, and later in life if I continue with photography. It additionally made me further respect digital designers, editors, and film makers, because of all the work that went into editing a couple small photos, I couldn't imagine doing that on a scale as high as a movie. That concludes my blog, thank you for tuning in! And cant wait to see you tomorrow for my process of putting the commercial together.
