Production Blog: Filming Continued

Hello guys! Welcome back to the blog. It's been full of anticipation since Renato and I first embarked on filming some initial scenes for our movie. With the weekend rolling around again, we found ourselves with the luxury of free time, perfectly aligning with our schedules. This weekend, we've dedicated both days to our filming. Unfortunately, Isahiah and Finn couldn't join us again today, but we're expecting them to be with us tomorrow on the beach. Given this, Renato and I took the initiative to focus on scenes that spotlight his character, with a scene or two including me. Our day kicked off at LA Fitness, a chosen location for filming training sequences involving Renato's character. Despite lacking boxing gloves, we didn't let that hinder our progress. We took the opportunity to work on camera angles for a sparring scene, planning to revisit it with the proper gear if necessary. As we navigated through the gym, incorporating the treadmill and punching bag into our training scenes, we encountered the challenge of filming amongst a crowd. Us not wanting to be a nuisance to others working out, we made a decision. This prompted a change in location to Renato's house, where we continued filming without the interference of a public setting.

Back at his place, I filmed Renato as he engaged in various training activities, from running on the treadmill to lifting weights. We even decided to reshoot a scene from our previous session, thanks to the quality of my new camera. After a productive day of shooting, I headed home, leaving us with a storage card full of footage to sift through and select the best takes. Moving forward, our plan is to wrap up the training sequences and shift our focus to scenes involving other characters. Once those are complete, we'll tackle the dialogue-heavy scenes and diverse location shots. That's it for today's blog! Thank you for tuning in yet again. I hope to see you again tomorrow for the next blog!
