Production Blog: Peer Review

Hello everyone! Welcome back to the blog! We are nearing the end of my final task project, with today being a blog about me peer reviewing with a friend. This video itself is not 100% complete. All of the basic parts, such as video clips and audio clips are put together, but it is missing a certain element which i'm not certain of yet. Which is why todays blog is about me getting an outside perspective on the video. My friend Anton is really good at editing, so I decided to go to him for feedback. I showed him my video during the class period, and it seemed to go well! He felt the emotions our video was trying to convey onto him, with slight humor, but also a sense of determination and courage. He believe the video itself was good, with a couple edits needing to be made for the clips to seamlessly transition together better. The one thing he pointed out, which I didn't think of, was another song for the beginning of the film. The first part of the film up until the training montage didn't have any background music. It was entirely focused on the ambient and diegetic noises around Renato. Immersing the audience into his perspective, and hopefully making them resonate with the emotions he was feeling. I did this because I wanted 100% of the focus to be on Renato and the feelings he was going through, but now that I think about it, a background track that correlated to his emotions would exponentially strengthen these emotions. With such little time remaining between now and the submission period, finding a non-copyright song that will fit within the video will be a struggle, but I believe the video will benefit due to it. Thats it for today's blog! Sorry it was a short one. Tomorrow's blog will be much longer, with me making these changes to the video, in addition to other edits I believe are needed. Have a good day! I hope to see you again tomorrow for the penultimate blog before the video is posted!
