Group Blog

Hello everyone! Good to see you again. Today, I am excited to reveal my final group for my Final Task. After much consideration and reflection, I have decided to with three of my close friends, Finn O'Brien, Valentina Agnese, and Alyssa Jaidane. This decision was not made lightly. I took into account the challenges I faced in last year’s task and my past experiences with team members who struggled to complete their share of the work. Finn and I worked together on our final task last year in Media Studies AS Level, and it was a great experience. We found a way to balance having fun and staying productive, something that is often a challenge in group projects. While we know that working as a duo might pose certain challenges, especially when it comes to filming, we have already considered solutions to these potential obstacles. Additionally, while I did not do AS level with Valentina, I do have many classes with her and know just how good her work ethic is. Also, due to the amount of classes we share this year, it is going to be extremely easy to communicate and work together. Finally, I've been friends with Alyssa for years and know she will be reliable to get her work done. Also, I witnessed her film her AS level film last year and was very impressed on how she managed to maintain control over the group she was working with. One issue we have realised is it would be impossible to cover all the roles ourselves. To address this, we’ve reached out to several friends who we think would be willing to help us. Many of these friends took AS Level with us last year, so they have a general understanding of what will be required of them. Although we realize it isn’t ideal to rely on people who aren’t directly involved in the project, we feel confident in the people we have asked. Additionally, we plan to make a groupchat with everyone involved, and create a well thought-out schedule in which everyone is available. This way we can minimize any disruptions. By keeping the group small, we hope to maintain control over the creative side and workflow of the project.  Overall, Im feeling positive about this decision. I believe with our previous experience working together, combined with the help of other friends who have experience in this class, we will be able to overcome any challenges we may face. We are determined to make this project a success, and I cant wait to share the final result with you all!
