Production Blog: Continuation of Filming

Hello everyone! Welcome back to the blog! After all the scheduling delays and planning, we finally started filming with our female lead, Olivia. Our first scenes with Olivia focused on the car ride sequences. Since we had already filmed some background shots, we needed to integrate her performance into them. The car ride is an important moment in the film, setting the tone for what’s to come, so we had to be careful with how we framed each shot. Olivia played her role perfectly, bringing the quiet tension we needed for these early moments. Filming in a moving car is never easy, but we made it work. We captured close-ups of Olivia staring out the window, emphasizing her emotions without needing dialogue. Over-the-shoulder shots from the backseat helped show her perspective while driving through the city, giving a sense of isolation and contemplation. We also took profile shots of her from the passenger side to highlight her expressions while passing streetlights cast shadows across her face. Lighting was one of the biggest challenges for these scenes. Some shots came out darker than expected, but after adjusting camera settings and experimenting with angles, we were able to make it work. In post-production, we’ll enhance some of the lighting to bring out more details. After wrapping up the car scenes, we moved on to the rooftop scene, which is one of the most visually striking moments in the film. We found the perfect rooftop location with a beautiful cityscape in the background One unexpected challenge was the wind. Being on a rooftop, the gusts were stronger than we anticipated, which made capturing clean audio difficult. Despite this, the visuals turned out beautifully. Tomorrow, we plan to go through all the footage and start piecing together the scenes we’ve shot so far. We’ll also be discussing any reshoots we might need and preparing for the next round of filming. As always, I’ll be keeping you all updated on our progress. Thanks for following along on this journey, and I can’t wait to share more soon! See you in the next blog!
