Production Blog: Promotion

Hello everyone! Welcome back to the blog! As we continue filming and editing, we’ve also started working on the promotional side of things. To make sure our project reaches as many people as possible, we’ve been working on social media accounts, a website, and even printed postcards to spread the word. Finn and I took charge of setting up the social media pages. We decided to create accounts on Instagram and TikTok, as these platforms will allow us to share behind-the-scenes content, teasers, and updates on our progress. Our goal is to build anticipation for the film while also giving people a look into the filmmaking process. On Instagram, we’ll be posting high-quality stills from our footage, behind-the-scenes clips, and stories documenting our work. TikTok is for short-form content like behind-the-scenes moments and quick clips of filming. Meanwhile, Valentina has been working hard on creating a website for the project. The website will serve as a central hub for everything related to the film. It will include information about the story, cast and crew, and eventually a trailer. She’s been designing it to have a clean, cinematic look that fits the tone of the film. Right now, she’s working on adding a gallery section where we’ll showcase stills from the movie and behind-the-scenes photography. Alyssa took charge of designing postcards, which will be a cool, physical way to promote the film. The postcards feature a striking image from one of our scenes, along with the film title and a QR code that leads directly to our website. We plan on distributing these around school and even leaving them at coffee shops or creative spaces where indie film fans might come across them. The process of setting all this up has been a bit overwhelming, but also exciting. We know that a strong online presence is key to getting our film seen, and having multiple ways to engage with an audience will help us in the long run. We still have a lot of work to do, like scheduling regular social media posts and finalizing the website, but it’s all slowly coming together. That’s it for today’s blog! Tomorrow, I’ll be updating you all on our progress with editing and what’s next for filming. Thanks for following along, and I hope to see you in the next update
